August 13th 2016- The first MakerFest We had the pleasure today of meeting with the staff at Maker Depot in Totowa. Mike, Frank and Steve…such brilliant minds! They offered to help with our 3D printing program. I was amazed with the creations, friendly staff and flexible hours. They do wood works, metal works, laser cutting, robotics and fabrication. Their club membership is for professionals, individuals and students, so you can come in and use any of their equipment from 10 am to 10 pm including Saturdays and Sundays. I’ve notice they also offer 3D printing and robotic classes. Please check  »

Why we do what we do?

Being in the medical field sometimes brings you a closer look into the awareness of the whole experience of pain, uncertainty, despair. Not that I wanted for this post to be negative and dark, but on the contrary…I wanted to express that is in the deepest distress, in the darkest hour that the brightest light shines afterwards!. We live busy lives, we have many obligations and burdens and challenges in the evident world. For those awake, for those who look a little deeper the revelation of a different world awaits. When giving a gift, remember the saying:” Is the thought  »

I would like to thank all visitors who graciously gave donations. It was a very hot day….thanks so much to the Maker Minions for helping diligently with the set up. Mike, Frank and Will were awesome. So many bright talented people displaying their work! Just being there was great!. The Big Hero 6’s that we 3D printed and the Pickachu’s in laser were taken by the crowd almost immediately. We have to come up with more goodies for next year. It was a really nice crowd, we got a few volunteers and new affiliates who made the activity totally worth  »

June 5th was an awesome day for Robotic Miracles. The Festival was a success in spite of the rain that was a bit challenging. Kids were so excited about prizes, made a huge amount of connections and the sense of being part of something bigger that ourselves made the magic again! A lot of the folks were excited about the project and our mission….some parents asked for robotic lessons. And between the smell of roasted pork, hamburgers, funnel cakes, Gyros and our Red Ballons plus all the candy we gave a way it was marvelous day! Thanks to Phil Reynolds,  »

Great things are in the works, last week we received 9 more patients with different types of upper extremity injuries so we are working hard to get those arms out. On 3/15/17 we celebrate our first year! March has been a wonderful month as we have networked with more physicians in DR and acquired more cases to change lives. Thanks to all our supporters and donors!.

We have been flooded with cases lately and that is why we’ve been a bit busy in the background which is, I guess, a good problem to have when you are starting to take off on your mission. I have to take the time to personally thank Jesse Cambpell for the incredible amount of work he has been doing for the people we serve at no cost. I have to thank our donors, which even in times so close to the Holidays, they take the funds to spread joy and hope to the patients we serve. Right now we are  »

So I decided to start our blog after I asked our co-founder and President Rafael Vargas multiple times to do it, but his schedule is so busy doing great things that (knowing my OCD personality) I could not really wait any longer. I am excited to share that since we started this project on 3/15/16, a little over a month we have delivered our first 3D printed arm to a little boy in the Caribbean, Dominican Republic. As my life coach Jersey Wulster would say ” Patricia: not everyone can keep up to your speed”…which makes me feel a little  »

Last weekend I was gracefully invited by my dearest friend and most active member part of our Board of Directors, Gale Colucci,to the Boy Scout Pancake Breakfast in Wharton at the United Community Church. I rejoiced when I found my paid ticket at the front desk (Thanks Gale!). The hall was full and folks were enjoying themselves with delicious pancakes, sausages, cheese, muffins, fruits, juices and coffee. Gary and Gale arrived and introduced me to Phil Reynolds (http://bygbyte.org), professional photographer for non-profits, writer, bookkeeper and a great Jack of all trades. Needless to say that Gale and I recruited Phil  »
